Alternative Keyboards

I wish I had known that alternative keyboards existed when I was learning typewriting in my high school.

Today, I learned that QWERTY is not the only type of keyboards available. Dave Child compares DVORAK and QWERTY layouts.

Just thought I'd say hi as I'm trying to visit and comment on as many of the NaBloPoMo blogs as I can. :)

I tried to use the Dvorak layout once, but that didn't fly too well; I actually use a variation on the QWERTY layout (all the keys are in the same place) known as the US-International layout where I have access to most, if not all international characters.

In the retrospect I think QWERTY layout is more commonly used. All public computers have QWERTY layout and I am glad that I learned typewriting.
